Cinco de Mayo 2023

In 2023 HEART of Saguache partnered with the Town of Saguache to put on a Cinco de Mayo dinner hosted by community members. The dinner was a great success, with a large menu of dishes including red and green enchiladas, tacos, pozole, tamales, calabacitas, elote, rice and beans, homemade tortillas, tres leches cake, churro cupcakes, and horchata. Rocky Mountain PBS joined in the celebration and documented HEART of Saguache's Patsy Garcia and her daughter Peggy Williams making sopapillas.
