Empowering our Community
for a Brighter Future.

In July HEART of Saguache partnered with The Range and Sisters of Colorado United for Education for an exhibition of Somos Agua, with a closing ceremony on Saturday July 29. Thank you to all the participants and visitors for this special opportunity to celebrate the work of so many collaborating to honor Water Protectors. We look forward to seeing the next phases of the project!

On Sunday July 30, 2023 HEART of Saguache hosted a presentation by Virginia Sanchez at the Saguache County Museum, with the support of a Saguache County Sales Tax Grant. Sanchez talked about Pleas and Petitions, her book on the representation of Southern Colorado during the Territorial Period. Many thanks to the Saguache County Museum for the venue to discuss this history - and thank you to Virginia for her donation of Pleas and Petitions to the Saguache Public Library.
